Under certain circumstances the numeric key pad acts contrary to what the numlock light says. We suspect anything from the keyboard to the software. So far this has happened using two different software packages that do totally different things. Personally, I don't know why these people don't shift their interpretation of the numlock light. However, I would like to be able to provide some explanation for this phenomenom. Does anyone have anything to offer?
