Lines: 14 My guess would be that you are running some software that talks directly to the 8041 ( or 8042 ) keyboard controller, and that software may have 'mistakenly?' switched on/off the numlock light. If you look in the tech ref for your machine you will find that its a fairly easy task to turn on/off the keyboard lights, and that their state relative to the actual state of the keyboard is one of convention not requirement.
