In the IBM world, there are several good public domain programs
that allow one to unfragment your hard drive. These programs
reorganize the sectors of the hard disk so that all
the sectors of a file are together. That way, seek time and
mechanical wear is minimized because the hard disk does not have
to scan all over the surface of the media to read sectors that
are not contiguous.

Does any such program exist in the Mac realm? Where can I find
them.
