I've had an SE for two years while all around me my co-workers got nice shiny new Mac II after II -- eat hot processor speed, guys) I've noticed an odd problem with Word. In the "Save" dialog, sometimes the typing speed into the filename field is snail-paced, and when I "Save As" a document with the name of an already-existing document, I get a noticeable (but not devastating) pause before the "Replace existing foo. bar?" dialog comes up. My first thought was that I was printing in the back- ground, or that someone was TOPSing off of my drive, but neither seems to be the case. If anyone else has experienced this problem or knows anything about the causes/ solutions, please let me know. -Mike "I ain't holding my breath until 4.0 ships, Bill" Rose ******************************************************************************* Michael T.
