But this noise happens without the drive light coming on. Is this just some sort of timed auto-park mechanism or should I send the machine in for service before the warranty expires? It is an SE/30 w/4 meg and an Apple 80 Meg drive. Thanks for your help. P.S. Does anyone know why my Adobe illustrator doesn't work on this machine?
