TEXAS and/or TEX in HyperCard ... look around archives, check CompuServe DL6, or BMUG or BCS-MAC or send me a disk & self-addressed stamped envelope ... essentially, my software builds complete inverted index to arbitrarily-large text file (up to hundreds of megabytes, anyway) and lets you browse through the index, call up key-word-in-context displays, or retrieve chunks of the full text as desired ... might be adaptable to solve some of your problems with 'What to do about > 32K of data?' that you asked about in HyperHackers V3.4 ..... ^z -------
