Although MTK's column is usually merely corroborative evidence intending to give verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative, (you can't believe how much fun it is to type in Poo-Bah's line!) he spouts that System 7.0 will have "a new font outline technology to put Quickdraw on parity with PostScript," also virtual memory, IPC, a new printer driver architecture and dragging of fonts and resources just like Servant did. He claims that a ROM upgrade is in order (you knew this would happen! Can you say "ROM simms?") This makes sense to me, although not all may be true, probably most of it is. Apple announced the MacPlus at the last Dev Conf I went to (1986, only $300, I think. What a bargain!) and is probably planning to do this.
