Newsgroups: comp.sys.sun Subject: bread errors on 386i dumps Keywords: 386i Message-ID: <764@umb.umb.edu> Date: 21 Apr 89 04:33:18 GMT Sender: usenet@rice.edu Organization: UMASS-Boston, Boston, MA Lines: 12 Approved: Sun-Spots@rice.edu I seem to remember some previous posting on this topic, but couldn't find it. We have a diskful 386i dumping across the Ethernet to a Vax 750. The dump goes along fine for a while, and then `bread' errors start coming thick and fast. This also happened on the one restore we did. So, our dumps are now only getting halfway through. Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be happening? Thanks.
