I thought I'd add one more piece of information along the same lines. We had some serious static problems at a prior worksite and found anti-static carpeting too expensive a solution. We solved the problem by treating the carpets with a static control spray. The spray we used was called Ramsey Static-Contorl Spray, manufactured by: Ramsey Carpet Cleaning Products A Division of Warco Labs, Inc 24020 Frampton Ave Harbor City, CA 90710 I also seem to remember someone telling me that a Woolite/water mix sprayed onto your carpets every three months will help control static. I don't know how much credence to put into that method, but it is almost definitely cheaper than the Ramsey Static-Control Spray and certainly harmless to try. David L.
