Would anyone care to speculate why a server with an entry in the
/etc/fstab like this:
    /dev/xy1g     /udirs     4.2    rw,quota    1 3
would complain when one tries to run "edquota", that there are no
4.2 file systems mounted?  The server was booted with this fstab
and a kernel that was built with:
    options      QUOTA
but this network has never had quotas installed on it, anywhere.
