Has anyone tried getting a panel to use foreground/background colors that
are different from it's frame?

What I would like to do is have a frame which contains 2 or more panels.
Some of the panels would use one color pair for it's
foreground/background, and another panel would use a different pair.  Each
panel contains many items, otherwise I would consider using a canvas in
place of a panel.

Any help will be appreciated.
