Is any information available (books, reports, etc.) that would give some
guidelines on optimizing or tuning the overall performance of a Unix
computer, specifically a Sun 4/260.  I would like to "tweak" the machine
here but have no idea where to start, or even what parameters are
available to adjust, what utilities are available to measure performance,
etc.  We are about to buy another 4/260 and I would like some idea of how
disk partitioning affects performance before it's fixed on the new
machine.  But an overall review of optimizing performance would be great
to have.
