The system is based on PARACOMs busless TPM-2-10 boards connected to the AT-bus by a passive bus bridge. We are trying to connect the external transputer system to a Sun3/160 via a bus bridge to the VME-bus (boards provided also by PARACOM). (An upgrade of the system by 16 T800 is preplaned) Is there somebody with information/experience using a Sun3 as transputer system frontend on the PARACOM-board basis or does somebody know better solutions to our problem: who has detailed information on 1) INMOS B011, B014 SUN boards (yes - maybe Inmos itself ... :-) 2) Topologix SUN boards (who is Topologix ??) 3) Express form ParaSoft Any kind of information/experience on hardware/software is highly appreciated. Contact to research institutions (parallel processing: algorithms, performance, vizualisation, environments, development) using Sun frontends wanted. ---------------------------------------------------------- Mail: Institute of Statistics and Computer Science University of Vienna Alois Ferscha Lenaugasse 2/8 Email: A4424DAB@AWIUNI11 A-1080 Vienna AUSTRIA Phone: 0222 / 48 63 66 / 5 ---------------------------------------------------------- ========================================================================
