I can usually successfully telnet between them. rsh and rlogin usualy fail with a connection timed out message, but not always. ftp usually fails with remote server closed connection, and if a file xfer happend, I usually see the data destination as a integer multiple of 1024 (this may just be a happenstance...) one side has no complaints (netstat -s) the other has a moderate number of tcp bad header checksums (100) What seems to happen is lots of data builds up in the send queue for the remote side.
