When Emacs is started from uwm, it has not control tty. If I start a shell, the shell pty also becomes the control tty for emacs, not just the shell. If I then type C-c C-c to the shell window, Emacs dies immediately. If I start Emacs from a terminal emulator, the emulator pty becomes the Emacs control tty, and C-c C-c to the shell window behaves as advertised. I have noticed a very similar behaviour with Oliver Laumann's Screen front end on the 800 series, so I tend to believe it's the signal/control terminal/process group mechanisms with 800 hpux who's to blame. Has anybody noticed/fixed that? -michael -- Michael Haberler mah@hpuviea.uucp Hewlett-Packard Austria GmbH, ...mcvax!tuvie!hpuviea!mah Lieblgasse 1 ...hplabs!hpbbn!hpuviea!mah A-1220 Vienna, Austria Tel: (0043) (222) 2500 x412 (9-18 CET)
