Message-ID: <8904201406.AA04721@mango.local> Date: 20 Apr 89 14:06:04 GMT Sender: news@tut.cis.ohio-state.edu Organization: The Internet Lines: 15 Users in many groups I read have software that does not support inclusion of referenced Messages-IDs when following up. That means that parent searches fail. I handle this by an argG in the Subj buffer, then an emacs reverse repexp search thru the Subj buffer, then a g, then searching back to where I was. This is awkward. It would be really nice to be able to search thru the subject line of all articles, including unselected ones, for a target expression. My LISP is nonexistant. I can cobble together pieces from examples, but this one is over my head I am afraid. If such capability is available, I would appreciate hearing about it. If it is not possible, could it be considered for some future version? -- Grant Basham R.S.M.A.S.
