Hello,
  We would very much like a copy of the GNU Emacs Lisp manual.
We ftp'ed the tar file from ~ftp/pub/gnuemacs/elisp on
a.cs.uiuc.edu , uncompressed and untar'ed it, and tried to
format the manual. However, we keep getting Tex errors and
are unable to generate a formatted copy. Perhaps there was 
a problem with our file transfer?
  Do you have other copies of the manual, which we might try
transferring? Furthermore, do you distribute hard copies?
