Career oportunity:	Technical Support Analyst

Joining a team of fourteen in Toronto Branch Support, the qualified
individual will have the folowing responsibilities:

	o Special projects implementation and support
	o Research and diagnosis of some technical issues
	o Technical phone support for clients
	o Problem tracking for outstanding client technical issues
	o Technical assistance for application support staff
	o Technical assistance for hardware and installation staff

Essential qualities for this position include:

	o Good communications skills
	o Good problem solving abilities
	o Ability to work unsupervised on technical issues
	o Ability to learn quickly in pressure situations
	o Familiarity with UNIX and its derivatives

Qualified individuals will have:

	o Working knowledge of UNIX filesystems and partitioning
	o Good knowledge of installation procedures on various machines
	o Backup and restore and disaster recovery procedures
	o Working knowledge of bourne shell programming
	o Good knowledge of terminal, printer, and modem hardware
	  installation and software setups involved

Non-essential qualifications include:

	o Kernel tuning and compiling procedures on various machines
	o uucp and file transfer/terminal session methods and setup
	o Uniplex Office Automation products
	o Programming experience
