FM receiver to receive TV Message-ID: <2090@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu> Date: 21 Apr 89 22:01:24 GMT Organization: SUNY Binghamton, NY Lines: 19 I'd like to know whether anyone knows of a *SIMPLE* way (preferably involving more soldering than desoldering :-)) to modify an FM radio so that I could tune in to the TV (notably, TV channel 3) Sound Band. I only know that TV sound uses carrier frquencies above standard FM (??). So, If I'm right, all it should involve is hacking the tank circuit (or something else in there) to make sure it tunes into the appropriate frequencies. Am i right ??? Much gratitude in Advance. (This newsgroup is my last hope!). -Vijay Email: vijay@bingvaxu.cc.binghamton.edu Dept. of Computer Science SUNY, Binghamton, NY 13901 Phone at home: (607)797-4431 DISCLAIMER: I'm an electronics Illiterate. -----------------------------------------
