Hello,

One "shell" that supports explanation-based learning is the PROTOS
system, which was developed at the University of Texas at Austin by
Ray Bareiss under Bruce Porter.  You can obtain info. about the 
system by calling Dr. Porter at 512-471-9565.  The system is a
case-based reasoning and explanation-based learning system - runs
under Common Lisp - on SUNS, etc.
