The problem occurs if a user logs in twice (to the same user account) and attempts to run Emacs in both sessions. The first invocation of Emacs works fine. The second invocation of Emacs causes the terminal to hang (doesn't respond to Cntrl-C,Y,Z etc.) until the first emacs process exits, whereupon the second terminal comes back to life and enters Emacs. Has anyone heard of anything similar? How do I fix it?
