I hacked compile.el to allow automatic CReePing onto a node of your
choice. This is good for anyone on an Apollo who doesnt want the
compiles from within GNUemacs eating your valuable memory and cpu time.
I use it all the time. (setq node-string "//myfavorite") is used to
override its selected victim.

If anyone wants it I can send it.
