We may have access to a high-resolution Matrix Instruments QCR Film Recorder.
The recorder's operator has asked for "SCODL" (Scan Conversion Object
Description Language) files for input to the instrument.

Can anyone tell me:

Is SCODL a format useful only to Matrix instruments or is it of more widespread
interest?

Is software available to convert from other formats, specifically HIPL format,
files to SCODL?
