Keywords: advice wanted Message-ID: <1140@jarthur.Claremont.EDU> Date: 4 May 89 16:17:59 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA Lines: 20 Hello. I've seen a few comments on this before, but I'd like more detailed info. I'm planning to buy either a Video Seven VRAM or Orchid ProDesigner Plus, with 512K of ram (Vram). I've heard conflicting views as to the reliability of the VRAM, but is seems to be faster than the Orchid. Can anybody say what the relative speeds are? Is the VRAM really much faster? They have pretty much the same video modes, so speed seems to be the major difference, at least from what the ads claim. If you own one of these cards, please write me a quick note telling me what you think about it. And if anybody's ever done a direct comparison of the two I'd love to know the results. Thanks in advance! And please respond via e-mail. - Paul -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAUL THIESSEN, Harvey Mudd College ...!uunet!jarthur!pthiesse pthiesse@jarthur.claremont.edu pthiessen@hmcvax.bitnet ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
