I just picked up a Pioneer LD-V1000 laser disc player and am looking
for hints on its use. This player is apparently meant to be controlled only
from a computer: there are no front panel controls, only a 24 pin
computer jack on the back.

I did get with the player a listing of the pinouts and a table
of commands, but have had little success in getting these commands to work.
By grounding various combinations of pins, I can get the machine
to play the disc, and to reject the disc, but nothing else.

Anybody who has experience with this player please contact me.
