I agree with Todd. I think if you are forwarding a message and are not adding any text of your own, there is no need to distinguish between added text and forwarded text. Therefore, there is no need to prepend the prefix string to the forwarded text. Further, like Todd said, this is a good way when you dont want to have the prefix string rather than having to use an editor to get rid of it.
