A recent posting under the subject of "things to do at USENIX in Baltimore"
mentioned Baltimore's Lexington Market, but more detail is needed.

The market, about 3 blocks from the Conference site, is an old-time urban
produce/meat/seafood market, combined with the best in stand-up lunchtime
eateries.  When you walk in, your first impulse is to say "give me one of
everything."

The thing to do is "graze" for your lunch, picking up something here, some-
thing there.  Possibles (among many) include:

o	Faidley's Seafood.  Try bellying up to the Raw Bar for oysters and
	clams.

o	Polock Johnny's polish sausage.  Be sure to ask for one with "the
	works."  NOTE:  Polock Johnny's "factory" is located in the West
	Market--watch them made!  (This may be considered both a feature
	and a bug.)

o	Pancho's, also in the West Market.  Pancho's burritos are definitely
	_not_ authentically Mexican, but they're still definitely good.

o	Konstant's Nuts.  Fresh roasted nuts.  If you're going to the
	Orioles game, pick up your peanuts here.  They're real, they're
	fresh, and they cost about half what they charge at the ballpark.

o	Numerous bakeries for dessert (try Berger's cookies),
	produce stands for fruit, and delicatessans for sandwiches.

o	Numerous (too new for me to remember their names) Oriental
	eateries.

The Lexington Market is located at 400 West Lexington Street, just a
few blocks North of the Conference site.  Be sure to cross over to
the ugly sister West Market by passing all the way through the Main
Market and crossing the street.

WARNING:  You can only fit so much Lexington Market food under your
airline seat!
