Summary: Keyboard speedup on an AT under Minix Keywords: PC/AT Minix keyboard speedup Message-ID: <16831@princeton.Princeton.EDU> Date: 5 May 89 13:59:29 GMT References: <2638@ndsuvax.UUCP> Sender: news@princeton.Princeton.EDU Reply-To: nfs@notecnirp.UUCP (Norbert Schlenker) Organization: Dept. of Computer Science, Princeton University Lines: 13 I have a program, originally written for an AT under DOS, that speeds up the keyboard by reprogramming the AT's keyboard controller. I have ported it to Minix (1.3, but it should work on earlier versions) and it works so nicely that I don't understand how I got along without it until now. This is a horribly non-portable piece of software, and it certainly can never be used on a stock PC, XT, or Atari ST. It doesn't even work on a PS/2 mod 30. I expect, therefore, that it will never make any standard distribution of Minix. Does anyone want a copy? Should I post it? Norbert
