Hmmm... how about encapsulating MIDI on UDP?  Rythm synchronization
could come from the NTP fuzzclocks - lending a new meaning to the term
"chiming".  If mazewar, nntp, nfs, and irc aren't enough to swamp the
NSFnet, perhaps an intercontinental jam session could help :-)
