I don't know if it can be used to announce bbses; however, something like that is much more reasonable than what has been going on here. Perhaps that *is* a pertinent topic for discussion by this group -- information overload. As the access to information grows, so does the necessity to somehow have better (intelligent?) filters to help us with the deluge. Doesn't Project Athena at MIT and/or Andrew at CMU have such features?
