The temporary solution was to put a bunch of concrete barriers on the bridge to push the buckled part back in line. Permanent solution is now being worked on. Or how about the freeway segment in my hometown that has a stoplight because the design accidentally had to off/on ramps connecting with one another? I'm sure there are hundreds of civil engineering projects that need or needed debugging. Software can be orders of magnitude more complex and commonly has to run on multiple hardware platforms.
