I use a UTX/32 2.1A Unix system and am aware of the existence of a "who" program, which acts like /bin/who but has the added feature of adding what network address a user on a remote terminal is calling from. Our local hosts are featured, but not those from incoming (X25 JANET in our case) calls, thus: sysadm console May 3 15:12 dq819 tty21 May 3 14:19 dx907 ttyp1 May 3 15:06 (zebedee) cz526 ttyp2 May 3 14:24 (mg1-34) dy600 ttyp8 May 3 13:20 (zebedee) yo318 ttyR7 May 3 13:08 The improved "who" would put in brackets after the last line something like (00004540000321) or even better in mnemonic form: (uk.ac.bristol.cs) I know the system stores the address of incoming external calls since "ns" may be used to monitor incoming calls. I'd be grateful if you could e-mail with any info!
