I was trying to write a script that used the list command to expand a wildcard
argument for other commands, when I noticed that list returns 0 even if it
is given the name of a nonexistent file.  I tried the same thing using
Commodore's list, and it returned 20 (I think).

Is there any way to detect a list failure?  Am I missing something?
