When I saw similar problems at work(on Wyse terminals) the problem was the 
high voltage insulation breaking down, not dust.  The symptoms are the same,
but it didn't crash our computer as it was on a different circut.

The fix: out technician would reapply the insulation.  Check with a TV repair
shop (I'm assuming your 1080 is out of warranty) and ask them if they think 
this is reasonable diagnoses...
