Wrong. Multisynch monitors (usually) use phosphors optimized for 1/60th of a second. They will flicker hideously when driven at a 1/30th refresh rate (when they support it at all.) Long persistence monitors don't flicker. THAT's what you get for your extra 2-300 bucks....
