Message-ID: <534@stsci.edu> Date: 5 May 89 16:03:05 GMT Organization: Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, MD 21218 Lines: 20 I'm a little curious about how Lattice is selling C++. When I talked to them on the phone, I was told that C++ included the 4.0 C compiler and was a $300 (list) product. The guy said that to get C++ with the current compiler you had to purchase them both separately ($300 apiece) but that they would take $100 off of the compiler price if you bought them both for a full retail price of $500. Who buys retail?. Looking at mail-order ads, I find that they are asking ~$160 for the 5.0 compiler and ~$320 for C++. I'm confused. What would it _really_ cost me (mail order) to have Lattice C++ with the 5.0 compiler? Is it any good? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jim Berry | UUCP:{arizona, decvax, hao}!noao!stsci!berry Space Telescope Science Institute | ARPA: berry@stsci.edu Baltimore, Md. 21218 | SPAM: SCIVAX::BERRY, KEPLER::BERRY
