There were the 'bug' symbols in it. I took a =-look at the screen file, and it looked like it had had trailing blanks =-trimmed from it. To fix it up, edit it and pad the lines to the proper =-length (it appears that you can end the line with a '-' to prevent the =-trimming). Make sure that your editor does NOT replace blanks with tabs =-when it writes the file out. The file was also missing a move count value. =-Anybody know what it should be? =- The screen 4 bug seems to have been propagated from the wand-screens distribution in comp.sources.games. The original distribution of wanderer 2.2 in the uunet.uu.net archives has an intact screen.4 . This file also did not have a move limit line, so I suspect that this was the intent of the screen's author. Now for my question: Amiga wanderer unfailingly locks up on me if the sound effects are enabled (i.e. the sound directory exists), though these lockups happen at seemingly random intervals. Has anyone else experienced this? I suppose I could chase this down with CodePRobe, but it's pretty low priority for me right now. I have yet to solve screen 10 --- any hints about how to trap the two baby monsters in the southeast corner? ______________________________________________________________________________ /_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/ |_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____| _No dark sarcasm in the classroom|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|___ |____Teachers leave the kids alone__|_____|_____|_____|_bryan@cs.utexas.edu___| ___|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|{vertebrae...}!cs.utexas.edu!bryan_|___ |_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|
