State Univ, Fresno Lines: 31 Thanks Andy, but the setpatch is the first thing executed in my startup- sequence. I ran a few games today, and here's what happened: Arkanoid-----it gave me a guru message #0000000B.00C01570 but it did get me out of that reset loop, displaying an SCA virus message. Deep Space---As soon as I did the 3 finger pinch, my hard drives spun for a split of a second, then the two disk-drive lights in the Amiga didn't light up at all-----TOTAL freeze out. Even when I removed that disk from df0: and did the 3-finger pinch/left mouse button, same symptoms occurred. When I shut down the system and restarted her with Deep Space in df0:, it then booted ok. As soon as I played a game, I rebooted the system with the same disk in df0: and the total freezeout occurred again. When I bought the Amiga in March of 87 and noticed this problem, I took it to an authorized Commodore repair center but they couldn't reproduce the same results------perhaps because they loaded normal utility programs or demos on it. This problem only seems to crop up with commercial video games. Oh please! Don't let me be doomed not to play video games on this wonderful machine. -- //// "Now, I'm ready for some PHYSICAL THERAPY." //// \\\//// Email responses to: \\/// robertm@csufres.csufresno.edu
