I have an Amiga 1000, 2-Meg Starboard and external disk drive. I did a directory on a (Sony DSDD) disk in the external drive and got a Read/Write error on block 40. I did a diskdoctor and recovered all but one file. This is workbench 1.2!!! I then put the disk in the internal drive and typed: format drive df0: name JUNK Everything went OK until it reached Formatting 30 Then the disk quit "gronking", the red light on the drive stayed on and the CLI hung. Another CLI showed Task 1 Format still running, but break 1 all had no effect. The status also showed FACC-II which I also run. I finally had to reboot. What's going on here???
