Keywords: Hardware, Disk drive Message-ID: <17838@cisunx.UUCP> Date: 28 Apr 89 03:48:02 GMT Distribution: na Organization: The Zets Lines: 14 Recently my Apple 3.5 drive (I have a GS+, oops, I mean GS) has begun to get a little louder. Overall it is not loud, but now I can hear low level 'white noise' as the drive (it's not the disk causing the noise) is spinning. At times, as the drive slows down to a stop, this white noise will get a little louder and I can hear grinding, or vibrations right before the drive does stop spinning. I am getting _no_ read/write errors. I have a feeling it's all caused by alot of dust in the drive. Does/has anyone ever take their drives in to be cleaned, and did it help?
