If you have learned QWERTY already, the switch between keyboards isn't worth the confusion. In other words, if you EVER need to use QWERTY on a regular basis, it isn't worth the time of the mistakes made with DVORAK as your native type. There's another point to consider. DVORAK is not widely supported enough by Apple software. Diagnostic tests give you QWERTY layouts and the like.
