Based on the advice of one of your fellow news readers, I took the system apart and reseated as many of the controller chips as possible. Of course, this also meant reseating the board itself and the drive cables. When I powered it up again it worked wonderfully. I told our friends who had been having the same problem. When they reseated things, theirs was fixed too! I don't know if this bodes well for the future of the system, but at least things are up an running now. Thanks for your help. -David --- David P.
