To follow up on the note about reaching Suitable Solutions,
here is the reply I got to my question about their network
access:

  No, we're not available on Internet (assuming that is not
  connectable to CompuServe).  We don't do much in the way of
  networking except to modem around to places like CompuServe
  and occasionally FIDO....
