Often there's something about Simtel20, a huge archieve with many useful programms I assume. I tried to reach it with 'ftp', which is available on our network. I type:' ftp 26.2.0.74', but time after time I get the message 'ftp: login : Connection timed out' or something like that. I ask anyone of you, who reads this, in general and those in Europe especially: 'Can I reach Simtel20 and how or it this place just to far away to get a connection within login time ? I thought every place connected with a Sun-Unix network, which receives post from all over the world, also can send it.' Already I have send some messages for help to Keith Petersen, the sysop of the DOS-archieves of Simtel20, but he sent me the default message back, that I already used to get contact. Please, send all messages by E-mail to: avink@cs.vu.nl Thanks in advance ! A.H.P Vink
