Question for the Clipper guru's out there...

I am writing a user defined function that wants to modify several of
the "set to" commands.   My problem is that I want to preserve the
original settings of the switches so that when my UDF returns, it can
put them back like it found them.

For instance:   If my UDF wants to "set bell on", is there any way I
can set it on (regardless of its original setting) and then prior to
returning to the caller, "set bell to original"?

Any help would be appreciated.
