I don't think this answers your question, but this is my experience w/ DOS 4.01

     I formatted  a hard disk using DOS 4.01 with a primary partition of 40M
and a second partition of 275M.  I then descovered that some of my application
(namely win386 ver? and PC Net ver1.0) wouldn't run using the new DOS, so I reformatted
the 40M partition and installed DOS 3.30 PLUS on it.  Now I have a 41M parttion
and a 275M partion.  Will I have trouble with the FAT?
