Lines: 24 I've recently had problems with two different monitors. One was a CompuAdd monitor which gave off fumes for two weeks that caused headaches and sinus problems. The monitor was replaced with another that did the exact same thing. The second type of monitor was a Samsung. This monitor appeared to give off a smell that was relatively harmless, but after three weeks it caused throat aches. The two reasons given for the above cases were sealants and power resistor resins, which were said to disappear in 48-72 hours of continuous use. Having left all the monitors on for more than that, and then using them for 8 hour stretches, the above symptoms were still produced. Has anyone run into this problem before? Do you know what it could be? What did you do to solve the problem? I suspect I've entered the World of Cheap EGA Monitors, and it's annoying. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
