I've seen this on one SE. I first noticed it almost a year ago. I has no
ill effects other than chewing up 7 MB of disk, so I left it (space isn't
critical on that machine).

This is NOT A VIRUS. If it were, I'm sure I would have detected other effects
by now. My best guess is that it's some very obscure bug in MacWrite 4.6
(and maybe 5.0).
