I'm getting a new Mac II(x?) & periphs, and don't have a clue about what the
good price performers are in scanners.  I'm using it mostly for greyscale work,
but optical character scanning capability would be a nice plus.  Can someone
recommend a good bargain on a product line?  Also, the Mac will be used mostly
for CAD and graphics applications like desktop publishing- is there any
rational basis, knowing about the intended usage, for choosing among the new
line of machines?
