Message-ID: <7879@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu> Date: 4 May 89 00:17:07 GMT Reply-To: mha@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu (Mark H. Anbinder) Organization: Department of Media Services, Cornell University, Ithaca NY Lines: 25 I just installed SuperSpool 5.0df (the DataFrame specific version) in the System Folder of my DataFrame XP60. The first couple of times I booted with it in there, it seemed to install fine. Now, though, it displays a dialog box saying something like "SuperSpool can not tell if you will be printing while under MultiFinder." It has a check box labelled "I will be using MultiFinder" that is unchecked, and an OK button. Unfortunately, this dialog box stays on the screen for a nothingth of a second before vanishing (I had to look at the SuperSpool file with ResEdit to figure out what the dialog had been saying). How do I tell SuperSpool I am using MultiFinder (I am... version 6.0.1 under System 6.0.2) if that box won't hang around long enough for me to click in it? On a related topic, is there a way for me to change the frequency of SuperSpool's disk polling? It checks my hard drive every four or five seconds to see if a print job has been spooled, and the access sound every four or five seconds gets annoying very quickly. -- Mark H.
